There is no match in quality to Foose Wheels. They are known for their striking designs and use of the highest quality materials. Car enthusiasts of all types will desire these wheels above all others. Let’s check out some of the qualities that make Foose wheels truly stand alone.

Each wheel is inspired by the designs of the classics. There are two broad categories of originals and classics. The originals are striking, straightforward designs for the most beautiful of cars. The classics follow the designs of classic roadsters and hot rods. In addition, the hottest in new wheels are available for your current vehicle.

The originals and classics come in multi-piece, two, and one piece wheels. The multi-piece wheels come divided into two or three piece designs, bolting in the center. The two piece wheels have a center welded to the rim and are available in a polished aluminum finish. The one piece wheels have been cast and are available in multiple finishes from shiny metal to black oxide. The multi-piece designs are also available in polished, chrome, and custom finishes. The variety in designs creates the ultimate custom fit for any car.

Foose wheels can also be matched and painted to the color of your vehicle. Many owners have ordered wheels in colors that include hot pink, neon green, bright orange, and lemon yellow. All these choices depend on your taste and wallet. The range for customizing is expansive. For many, their car is their baby, an expression of their personality, not just a means of transportation.

All Foose wheels are available in numerous tire sizes. If you have any concerns, their website will direct you to the list of available tire sizes for each design. Whether you are looking for a match to your truck, SUV, or car, you will find a wheel that’s right for you. When one is spoiled for choice, it would be difficult to not find your perfect match.

These wheels are the result of many years in the business of building hot rods and automotive design. Foose wheels are seen as the perfect pairing to creating beautiful cars. They are prized for their enhancement of a person’s vehicle. It’s hard to say if the wheels complete a beautiful car or if the beautiful car completes the wheels. Most would argue you can’t separate one from the other once they’ve been matched so perfectly.

If you attend a car show you can see the vast range of cars that can sit atop these wheels. They can be seen on modern vehicles, concept and award winning cars, and vintage roadsters. The wheels may not be the first thing to grab your attention, but once they do, it is undeniable that the pairing is like that of a good wine and a great meal. Once they are together, you can’t imagine it any other way.

Classic Trucks in the movies and starring in TV Commercials!

Owners of old trucks would never deny permission for somebody to take a picture of their vehicle. Do you want to take a picture of my truck? Go ahead. Next time don’t even ask.

Let’s suppose somebody came up to you and asked for permission to take a picture of your classic truck to publish in a magazine or a website. Would you refuse? Of course not. You’re proud of your truck and you want the whole world to see it.

But there are people who don’t want to have their classic trucks photographed or filmed. They spend a lot of time fixing their trucks, they go to car shows to show off what they have and yet they refuse to have their trucks filmed or photographed. It doesn’t make sense and it’s not very smart either. Maybe they don’t need the money.

Now let’s suppose you had a chance of having your truck filmed for a TV commercial or, better yet, for a movie! How great would that be?

Let’s also suppose that some TV producer decided to create a new series based on the 1940′s, 1950′s or 1960′s. Wouldn’t he(she) need a lot of cars from those eras? And if the series became a hit the vehicles would be used again and again.

Yeah. It it possible and it’s not even too hard. You just have to promote your vehicle in the right places. There are companies out there looking for vehicles exactly like yours. Many companies in fact. They look for classic trucks for sale and they buy them. They look for classic cars of all types and they pay rent to the car owners in order to film the cars. There are companies that go after owners of vintage trucks in order to list these vehicles in large databases.

Advertising agencies put ads in the papers when they need an old car or pickup truck for a TV commercial. Keep your eyes open because your big chance may come from that direction.
If you have a good set of pictures of your little jewel you’re one step closer to fame and fortune. Well, may be not fortune but fame is possible…

A movie production company may need classic trucks just like yours. They might need your truck to spend, say, three days in Hollywood and a week on location in New York. They would make the arrangements to have the vehicle transported to both places and might even be willing to pay for your expenses to go along. You would see how a movie is made and you could even end up meeting a couple of famous movie stars just because you own an antique truck.

The producer of a movie or a TV commercial may be looking for a beautifully restored old car, one that looks like it came out of the showroom a couple of days ago. But directors want their films to look real. Therefore they may need a regular classic vehicle, one that shows it’s been used. And they might even need a real wreck, a rust bucket so to speak. Your chances are real no matter what condition your truck is in. Don’t be ashamed of it. Go ahead and try.

And how does this thing work? First you have to find an agent, a company that has the contacts and knows where to go with your truck pictures. Get listed on their databases and be patient. You might get a call the following morning but it could also take a couple of years.

So you’re finally going to do it. You’re going to restore a classic car.

If this is your first time restoring a classic car, there are probably a few things you should do before you take on this challenging and enjoyable task.

One of the most important things you can do before you restore a car is the preparation you take. Restoring a classic car is a lot like being a race car driver. You need to be organized and prepared if you want to win the race.

There are three main areas you will want to prepare before you do any work on your car. These areas are:

Your Garage
Your Budget
Your Resources

Preparing these three areas will help your restoration go smoothly, and it will make it more enjoyable.

Your Garage: Before you start any restoration project, you will want to make sure your garage is in order. Take the time to clean out your garage. You’re going to be spending a lot of time here, so you want to make sure it is organized.

This will help make the restoration process go a lot faster. As you clean out your garage, take an inventory of your tools. Check to make sure you have everything you need to restore the car. Having bins, shelves and hooks can help keep all of your tools and parts organized.

Your Budget: Preparing a budget is probably the most important preparation step in car restoration. Unless you are independently wealthy, you’re probably going to want to create a budget.

Having a budget is important for several reasons:

A budget ensures you don’t overspend.
A budget ensures the project is completed.
A budget ensures you don’t exceed the value of the vehicle.

As you prepare your budget, take some time to research the value of similar restored vehicles versus the initial price you paid for the car you plan to restore. As you budget, also consider what parts of the project you plan to outsource to mechanics and what parts you plan to do yourself. For the parts you plan to outsource to mechanics, try to get an estimate on how much it will cost.

Is all the junk eating up all your garage space and your classic cars are getting withered away outside in the sun, in the rain and in the storm? Classic cars are prized possessions and are not meant to lie outside amidst garbage heaps. Your car restoration garage needs to be organized and all the things need to be put in their proper places. Read on to know how you will do so.

THE STEPS:

Sort out the articles that can be reused. Throw out broken stuff and sell off such things which you will never need. If you want to derive some profits, you can also go for a garage sale.

Reorganize those things which you want to retain. Keep things of similar use together. For example, put the air tools in one place, the air compressors in another place etc.

Buy some plastic bins. You will need them. You will have to stuff all the camping gear, the craft suppliers into them. Buy some beans in which you can lock up expensive items which are expensive and which are dangerous.

Redo the walls of your garage. Fix some shelves or cabinets or freestanding holders in which you can place some of the important car restoration tools. Store heavy things in the shelves at the bottom and lightweight tools on the shelves of the top. If your garage is a small one, fix these shelves on all the 3 walls of your garage.

Not only car restoration tools, there are some other things that are essential in a garage. Some of these are brooms, rakes, shovels, folding chairs and other articles on the walls of your garage.

Fix some hooks on the ceiling of your garage. Hang the bikes from these hooks. Fix the hooks close to the sides of the walls and place the bikes on them in such a way that they hand over your classic cars.

Design a low platform so that your classic cars can slide down under if there is scarcity of space. Do not keep the cars empty. You can stuff them with some garage article for maximum utilization of space.

SOME TIPS:

While cleaning your garage empty it totally. Put all the garage equipment in the driveway. Clean the garage equipments inside out and put them back in their places.

Do not store up unnecessary things which you know you will never need. This will result in unnecessary blockage of space.

Illuminate your garage well. You do not wish to work in a dingy place, do you?

Place a doormat near your classic car gates. Clean your feet in the doormat whenever you get in and out of your cars. Place another doormat outside your garage gates. Clean your feet well before you step into your homes.

For better functioning of the auto air conditioner it’s important that the Air Conditioner Parts are been maintained properly and checked in the regular intervals. There are few simple steps that can be followed and are been used by the mechanics to see if the air conditioner parts are working fine.
First of all you need to understand how an auto air conditioner functions and what is the role of each part? This information is available over net, in car ac manual and also can be understood with the help of any mechanic.
Now the second step is that we need to check if the refrigerant is leaking. The common refrigerant that is been used these days is R-134a. One thing we must understand here is small leakage is ok, but if all R-134a leaks out, this means that there is nothing in the machine that will remove the heat from the air flowing in the air conditioner engine. This needs to be fixed immediately and will need ac machine to be opened. There is one more way to check the leaks, which can be done by putting fluorescent dye most widely available in the auto shops.
Now the next check that can be done is to check that the compressor is turning. This can do by switching on the ac and then checking under the hood, if the compressor pulley is not rotating then the compressor is not doing its job. We can also check for other Air Conditioner Parts whether they are working fine or not, like we can check for bad fuses, bad switches, broken fan belt which prevents the turning of the pump, broken wires, or seal failure inside the compressor.

Hailed by many as the most beautiful car ever to come out of Japan, The Mazda RX-7 took seventeen years of development before it finally appeared on the streets in 1978.

Without the perseverance of a team of Japanese motor engineers and designers under the leadership of Kenichi Yamamoto, in the development of the Wankel or rotary engine, this stunningly designed, high performance sports car, would never have happened.

In 1961 the Japanese Company Toyo Kogyo, later to be renamed Mazda, licensed from the patent owners NSU-Opel of Germany, the full rights to develop a new rotary engine.

The Rotary engine was named after its inventor Wankel and had no pistons or crankshaft as such, but consisted of a simple fuel injected rotor blade that span around a central drive-shaft that was connected to a rear wheel differential for drive.

In theory the rotary engine is far superior, through its simplicity in design, than a conventional piston combustion engine, with much less moving parts to go wrong and direct drive power output.

Yamamoto’s team at Mazda set to work on developing a rotary engine that would overcome the problems of loss of compression, exhaust, and the overheating of the rotor blades tips, that had limited Opels success at developing the technology in the 1950′s.

After success with earlier RX models the RX-2, RX-3 and RX-5 and despite financial problems at the company, Mazda finally came up with the larger 12A engine which was fitted to the new Mark 1 RX-7 built from 1978 until 1980 and the series 2 built from 1981 to 1983.

The Mazda Rx-7 was a two seater plus two hardtop sports coupe, curvaceous and aerodynamic and it immediately caught the imagination of the motoring world which globally hailed it as an instant design classic. The design of the car was built entirely around the engine and exhaust configuration.

A bi-rotor engine putting out what was seen as equivalent of just 550 bhp per rotor the 12A in the RX-7 was capable of speeds of over 130 mph and with high low-end torque reached from 0 to 60 mph in just 6.3 seconds. Officially its bhp was just 100 horse power but given how light the car was, it was often described as like driving a skateboard, the power to weight ratio gave it an output equivalent to 230 bhp.

Exhilarating to drive because of the smoothness inherent in the movement of the Wankel rotary engine, little vibration or shaking was felt at high engine speeds. An alarm was fitted to the rev counter to warn the driver when the 7000 rpm redline was approaching. If you exceeded it or did not heed the alarm the engine would cut out to protect the ceramic rotor tips from overheating.

The car was expensive to run, the engine consuming around 20 miles to the gallon but at half the price of a Porsche and with all the trimming such as electric windows and sun-roofs, the RX-7 was sought by young and old alike. Over 475,000 cars were sold with the original Mark 1 design.

The RX-7 was loved by good and bad alike and appeared in many TV shows, commercials and films.

In Japan the car was adopted by the original Tokyo Drifters and street racers due to its speed and handling. In the UK a modified Turbo version of the 12A RX-7 built by Elford engineering held the unofficial record for the fastest night-time lap of the circular M25 motorway that rings London, for 5 years.

The MG is a British brand of sports car, which has been around for over eighty years. Although the last model of the MG went bankrupt in 2005, the ownership has been moved to Nanjing Automobile Group, who plan to produce the cars once again in 2007. The “MG” name stood for “Morris Garages”, who was a car dealership in Oxford. The company started creating customized cars with designs from Cecil Kimber, who eventually became the General Manger of the company. Now, under its new ownership, the “MG” is going to stand as “Modern Gentleman”. Zhang Xin, the boss of the group, says that he wants “to see that this brand represent grace and style”.

Although MG is mostly known for their two-seat sports cars, the company has also produced coups and saloons. The company was originally based in Oxford, but in 1925, one year after it was created, MG moved to the larger Bainton Road premises, due to high demand for the vehicles. After the car was finally shown at the London Motor Show, demand of their cars went higher still and they were forced to move again. In 1929, MG moved to their permanent location, which is Abingdon, Oxfordshire. In 1935, William Morris, the owner, sold the company to Morris Motors. The consequences of this deal were that the British Motor Corporation would later absorb the MG brand in 1952. During the 1960s, British Leyland had control of the brand, but was in trouble due to a lagging economy. Up until 2005, the MG brand was part of the MG Rover Group, which was based in Longbridge, Birmingham.

The original 1924 model MG, known as the MG 14/28, was essentially a sports car body on a Morris Oxford steel frame. It wasn’t until 1929 that the popular vertical MG grille was finally on the car. The main sports car that MG created was in the Midget series. The car company quickly got recognition as it did quite well in international automobile racing. A more modern sports car was built in 1962 due to high demand for the company to create a more modern car.

Unfortunately, due to the numerous ownership trades and financial problems, the car company ran out of steam in 2005. There are rumors that Project Kimber might want to work with Nanjing, the group that now has the rights to the MG name, in order to create a new sports car inspired by the design of the discontinued microcar Smart Roadster.

Classic Car shows make a great day out for almost anybody, of any age. If you already own a classic, then shows and Auto-Jumbles provide a great opportunity to meet up with like minded enthusiasts, and to discuss the merits of your car and it’s marque. If you don’t own one yet, then the chance see a range of classic cars both mundane and exciting, immaculate and untidy, can be very enjoyable. That’s especially true of you can see the cars that you yearned for in your youth.

Those with families often feel that while a day out looking at classic cars would suit them, it wouldn’t be much fun for the family. It can seem that their fun and enjoyment would be undermined by the obvious lack of enjoyment from the rest of the family. Surely it can not be long before the kids are asking “is it time to go home yet?”.

But my experience with friends and relatives from 4 to 40 is that far from being boring and uninteresting, classic shows are an exciting place to be! Youngsters are often fascinated by how cars used to be in “the olden days”. Older children discover the beauty of supercars from the past, before cars were designed by computer. Who can remain unmoved by grace of a classic Jaguar, Lamborghini or Maserati?

Why not try it? Some summer shows also have funfairs and entertainment – such as The Bromley Pageant of Motoring. Others include entertainment and even Air Displays – look at The Hampshire Pageant of Motoring.

How can you find out about what shows are on? Check the web for event listings nationwide or around the world. Classic-CarShow.com is a good place to start. Shows and events are listed for each month, with plenty of information to help you make your choice. And once you have decided where to go, route planner feature quickly provides a route map and directions. Now that it’s so easy, why not go for that great day out?
